In a study conducted by the University of South Australia and the Department for Education, researchers found that children’s wellbeing is heightened when they participate in extra-curricular activities, yet lowered when they spent time on social media or playing video games.
Research indicates that physical activity promotes brain development, potentially leading to better academic performance. High levels of moderate to vigorous physical activity (e.g., 45 minutes daily) have been associated with improved writing, numeracy, and overall proficiency, and there is evidence suggesting a connection with enhanced language skills.
Sport - particularly team-based sport like soccer - can have a positive impact on outcomes including: improving resilience. enhancing psychological and social development (interpersonal skills, personal resilience, confidence and self-esteem) improving mental health outcomes across the life course.
Sport in general, and school sport in particular, tends to bring individuals and communities together. The eclectic nature of many school environments provides a natural diversity of cultural and socio-economic influences. Numerous government and independent reports identify schools as the ideal setting to deliver the health and social outcomes that sport and physical activity can offer.
Teamwork is an important life skill - and an essential part of soccer. Participation in sports allows children to make lasting friendships, develop communication skills, feel a sense of community and learn to respect their teammates and coaches.
In these sessions, we focus on maximum ball rolling time for each child ensuring the player can gain as many touches and have as much fun as they possibly can have with the ball in the allotted timeframe. We give each individual their own ball for as much of the session as possible , we want the players to learn their ball mastery skills as quickly as they can and by having their own ball for much of the session enhances the outcomes and speeds up the process.
Quite simply when a child can execute the fundamentals of the game along with exciting skills they have more fun and enjoyment when it comes to game time.
Each child gets lots of time with the ball during each session to maximise learning and to build gross and fine motor skills.
In our sessions it is estimated that each individual will get anywhere between
500 – 1000 touches on the ball which elevates the opportunity to develop quicker.
Fun is central to everything we do at pro soccer school. We create a fun environment for children to explore a range of new skills through movement and activity
